Serpent Idol

by K. Switzer

This five hundred pound Idol was carved from a septerian concrection and appears to be hollow and filled with dogtooth calcite or quartz. In the shape of a coiled snake it also "actually had a snake living in it". When empty you can also see a reptile just looking in the hole (2nd photo) - very "frightening".
